How to Measure the Size of Your Dog?
The first and foremost task would be to know to measure your dog, so you could purchase the coat that would fit it. There are three ways of measuring the body size of your dog. Any of the ways would work.
a. Measure the length of your dog. Grab a tailor’s tape and take the measurement from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
b. Take the measurement of the torso of your dog. It is also known as the earth is the widest part of your dog’s body which is the chest which is one or two-finger behind the neck. Using the tape measure the torso or girth and note it down on paper.
c. Another alternative is to measure the collar size. Take a tape and wrap it around the neck of keeping one finger inside the tape or two if the fur is thick. Take a note of the measurement either in inches or in cm.
How to Know the Coat Size of Your Dog?

To find the measurement of your dog coat using the first chart, consider the torso circumference and the length of your dog. But before that make sure you are aware of the breed. For example, if your dog is a Labrador, and the length of your pet is around 55 cm and the torso is around 70 cm, then size L would be the best fit.
Accordingly, you could refer to the size charts provided below as well. If you have the girth size only, then the second chart would be better for you. The best part is you could make sure the size by finding out the weight of your dog as well, it would provide you a much better size guide.
