The Rugby League and Rugby Union are the two members of rugby. The measurements and dimensions of the Union and League are different. The length of the Rugby League pitch ranges from 112 m to 122 m.
The width of the Rugby League pitch is 68 m.

Rugby League Pitch Markings
The Rugby League pitch is an area of nearly 8296 meters square. This entire area of the Rugby League pitch isn’t the playing surface. Different marking has been done on the Rugby League pitch to define the different areas present. The marking often forms the boundary of the pitch and restricts the player from several actions. For example, the in-goal areas are for only the goal. One of the interesting Rugby game rule is, the players are not supposed to enter the goal area.
On the Rugby League pitch, there are in total 5 markings that differently define the five areas of the pitch. They are:
a. Touchline.
The touchline is the marking on either side of the playing area. It is the side boundary of the pitch that runs parallel to the width of the pitch. The dimension of the touchline is 122.5 to 133.4 yards in length. The white lines are used to make the markings, and; therefore, the width of the line is 0.2 yards.
It is the two parallel lines that run as the width of the pitch. No players can cross the touchline during the game.
b. Dead ball lines.
The Dead ball line is the end line of the Rugby League pitch. It is parallel to the Halfway line and tries line. It also runs at the length of the pitch. The dimension of the Dead ball line is 74.4 yards in length. The width of the Dead ball line is 0.2 yards.
If measured in the metric system, then the Dead ball line is 68 to 70m long, and the width of the line on either side of the pitch is 0.2 yards.
As the dead ball line is the ending line of the pitch, if the ball crosses the line, there is no score, and it results in dropout. Hence as per the laws of the game, the ball and the players must remain within the line, or it will be counted out.
c. Try lines.
The try line is an extended line of the in-goal areas. It forms the width of the in-goal area. When a player carries the rugby ball across the try line and touches the ground, the team scores 5 points.
The dimension of the try line is 74.4 yards in length and 0.2 yards in width.
d. Transverse lines.
The transversal line is the line parallel to the try line and the halfway line. There is 4 transverse line on a rugby pitch. It is the line beyond which the players can score the tries.
The dimension of the transverse line is 74.4 yards in length and 0.2m in width.
e. Broken lines.
The broken line is 119.4 yards in length and 0.1 yards in width.
f. Halfway Line.
The Halfway line is the marking in rugby that divides the put into two equal halves. From the goal lines, it is at a distance of 47 to 50m. The game always begins at the Halfway line. The Rugby ball is taken into the middle of the line and then dropped or kicked by the team toward the opponent’s team. While restarting the game, it again comes to the center cross, and then the ball is drop-kicked.
In the metric system, the dimension of the Halfway line is 68-70m in length and 0.1 yards wide.
